Foreign Capacity Mechanisms – Cross-Border Participation
Capacity remuneration mechanisms (CRM) are designed to ensure the required level of security of supply. In some of Germany’s neighboring countries, namely Belgium, Poland, and France, capacity mechanisms have already been introduced.
This can also be of interest to German capacity providers, as the European Commission has established conditions for the cross-border participation of foreign capacities within the framework of the “Clean Energy Package” (CEP) legislative package.
The German transmission system operators would like to inform you about the possibilities of participating in foreign capacity mechanisms (currently in the Belgian and Polish CRM) and refer you to the following page for all information:
