Amprion increases syndicated loan agreement by €600 million
Amprion has successfully increased the volume of its existing syndicated loan agreement with its banking partners by means of an amendment agreement. The credit line has been increased by €600 million to a total of €2,600 million. All eight syndicate banks participate on a prorata basis in the expansion of the credit volume.
By stepping up the syndicated loan agreement, Amprion increases its flexibility for shortterm financing and responds to the significant rise in investments in the short and medium term which is attributable to the acceleration of the grid expansion. The participating syndicate banks continue to be Bayerische Landesbank, Commerzbank, DZ Bank, ING, Landesbank Baden-Württemberg, Landesbank Hessen-Thüringen, SEB and UniCredit. The maturity of the syndicated loan agreement as well as other terms and conditions remain unaffected by this increase.
Peter Rüth, Chief Financial Officer of Amprion: "The syndicated loan agreement with our eight banking partners has always formed the basis for our bridge-to-bond financing strategy and optimises our broadbased financing mix. By increasing the volume of short-term financing, we are creating even greater flexibility and will be able to take even better advantage of market opportunities in the future. The constructive and swift process reflects our very good, trusting and long-term relationships with our banking partners, who are supporting us in implementing the energy transition."
