Amprion increases syndicated loan agreement by €500 million
The transmission system operator Amprion has successfully increased the volume of its existing syndicated loan agreement by using a contractually agreed increase option. The credit line has been increased by €500 million to a total of €2,000 million. All eight syndicate banks participate proportionally in the expansion of the credit volume.
By stepping up the syndicated loan agreement, Amprion increases its flexibility for short-term financing and responds to the significant rise in investments in the short and medium term due to the acceleration of the grid expansion. The participating banks are Bayerische Landesbank, Commerzbank, DZ Bank, ING, Landesbank Baden-Württemberg, Landesbank Hessen-Thüringen, SEB and UniCredit. The maturity of the syndicated loan agreement remains unchanged.
Peter Rüth, Chief Financial Officer of Amprion: "The syndicated loan agreement with our eight banking partners is the basis for our bridge-to-bond financing strategy. By increasing the financing volume, we are creating even greater flexibility in short-term financing and will be able to take even better advantage of market opportunities in the future. The smooth and swift process reflects our very good, trusting and long-term relationships with our banking partners."
