Scenarios for assessing demand

Demand is assessed with respect to the coming 10 to 15 years. The four transmission system operators, 50Hertz, TenneT, TransnetBW and Amprion, are developing a scenario framework that describes in at least three scenarios how electricity consumption and generation are expected to develop – currently for the target year 2030. For one scenario, we are also working together to draw up a further forecast that reflects the expected developments over the next 15 to 20 years – currently with a view to 2035. The scenario framework will be approved by the Federal Network Agency and forms the basis for the Network Development Plan.

Participation

During the consultation phase, all citizens can view and comment on the draft scenario framework. Opinions expressed by members of the public are taken into account during the assessment carried out by the Federal Network Agency.
