Immissions

The safety of people and the environment is our top priority. That is why we at Amprion plan power lines and substations in such a way that we minimize the impact on people and the environment. However, as towns grow, the distance to existing lines and assets can shrink. In such cases, residents often wonder whether substations, overhead lines and underground cables can affect their health and well-being. How strong are the electric and magnetic fields? How much noise do the assets generate?
The requirements of immission control apply to the so-called immissions from electric and magnetic fields as well as noise. We strictly adhere to the limit and guideline values set out in these requirements. In addition, we implement ideas to ensure that our substations, in particular, can be heard and seen as little as possible by local residents.
